Adoption pictures

So there won't be baby belly pictures per se with the coming of our next child, but we will try and post adoption pictures as we take them.  (Hopefully my belly won't be growing bigger by the month!  HAHA!)

So, here's our next adoption picture - yesterday, we met with the pastor working with our home study agency.  He told us about his own adoption stories and then asked us some questions about our faith, church involvement, and daily Christian life.  He was very nice and he prayed over us and our adoption.  The unfortunate thing was that I got a migraine about 15 minutes into the meeting.  He was sitting in front of a window so I thought the reason I couldn't see his face was because of the light behind him.  When I realized it was really starting to bother my eyes, I asked if we could move the chairs around so I could see him better.  After he moved places, I realized that I was actually losing my vision and the migraine was imminent!  By the time we were on our way home, I was really sick.  But the pastor was understanding and Phil did a great job answering the questions.  Oh well, such is life.

Today, I've been filling out more and more paperwork.  We had to write down our disaster plan - evacuation routes, emergency plans in case of flood, fire, and tornado.  I had fire and tornado down (including bringing pillows and shoes to the basement - I remember every storm growing up when we had to take cover, we would always get our shoes and pillows while mom and dad got our other important things).  But flood?

I said to Phil, "what do I write for flood???  It says, in case of a flood, what would we do?  Um... call the insurance company?  I mean, in order for their to be a flood, it would have to be Noah's ark."  To which Phil replied, "Hon, I think it's a little inappropriate to write 'call the animals 2 by 2'."  Hahahaha!  But I think we finally came up with a good answer - we would call the gas and electric companies to come and check that there are no leaks or electrical dangers (among other things).

Anyway, back to paperwork!  I'm determined to get to the end of it... although it's kind of like laundry - we only THINK we've finished!  HAHAHA!  EEEEEEE - every sheet of paper brings us that much closer to the adoption!  YEAH!

Hmmm... I just looked at the adoption picture again... Maybe we'll have to be creative and take some adoption pictures that are cute........

any ideas anyone???
