Our Adoption: Week 17

How Far Along: 17 weeks
How I'm feeling: amazed at the compassion of the people helping us with the pancake breakfast
Gendera SON
Total of bills so far: $8415.46
(You can see what bills we've paid in the sidebar.)
Total money raised: $3102.26
Favorite moments: It's finally nice weather - well at least it was a couple times this week!  I planted a red bud tree and a magnolia tree.  When I was expecting Phoebe I planted rose bushes.  The red bud and magnolia aren't specifically Sammy's but I will always remember that I was expecting Sammy when I planted the trees.  I will enjoy seeing them grow and flower and turn colors in the fall each year.
Another favorite moment is that Phil share the news of Sammy at work this week!  So fun to see the support and excitement!  His Chinese co-workers thing Samuel is really cute (hee hee, we do, too!)
Things learned:  that one goes through "nesting" no matter how they are expecting a baby!  The only difference - now Phil's nesting, too.  With my pregnancies, I don't think Phil nested.  It's been really interesting to see how Phil has gone through the adoption process so far - it's like things I experienced during pregnancy like emotions and thoughts and well, nesting, he now experiences in the adoption.
What I am looking forward to: Still The Pancake Breakfast!  I hope you all will plan to come - here are a couple of fun details:
Chocolate Chips have generously been donated so we will be serving chocolate chip pancakes in addition to the plain ones!!!
We have DOOR PRIZES!!  Everyone eating at the breakfast, including volunteers, will get a ticket to enter into the door prizes!

Special Request: Pray for good weather and a great turn-out for our pancake breakfast!  Please pray that it runs smoothly and that there are no glitches (and that I don't forget anything!)
