To make it easier for people to understand where we are in the process I post an update each Tuesday about what we are currently waiting for and how long we expect things to take.
TUESDAY TIMELINE: Waiting for 800a approval
I got my passport in the mail on Monday and now we are just waiting for an officer to be assigned to our case and approve our fingerprints. We have no idea how long this will take. It depends on how big our officer's case load is. Could take up to a month.
We are also wrapping up our dossier paperwork (which includes 3 additional references, pictures of our homes, an application, a letter, and then a bunch of legal documents that we've already sent to our agency).
