An interview with Daddy
Mama: So, what big news do we have?
Daddy: WE ARE LID!
Mama: What does LID mean and why is it significant?
Daddy: Technically speaking, it stands for Log(ged) In Date. It means our dossier has been confirmed as received by China and is ready for processing. Practically speaking, it means we can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is especially significant for us, because there was some uncertainty around how long the LID process was going to take with the new software system.
Mama: What was the first thing you thought?
Daddy: I was close - I thought we would be LID on the 5th as an anniversary gift. Instead we got the news about Sammy's surgery being postponed and the updated pictures on the 5th - what an amazing gift that was. Thrilled that it went about as quickly as I was hoping for.
Mama: What was the first thing you did?
Daddy: Went outside to tell the good news to Lily and Phoebe.
Mama: How are you feeling now?
Daddy: Pumped up. Ready to go. So excited! Hopeful for a blazing fast LOA (the next step in the process).
Mama: It's fun that we made our first Sammy purchase on the same day that we found out about LID, huh?
Daddy: Ya - it is always fun to see how the Lord works in the details. Can't wait to use the new Ergo. Also grateful that I don't have to worry about accidentally mummifying myself trying to use a moby wrap.
