How I'm feeling: fine
Gender: waiting, waiting, waiting... but she's totally ours in our hearts!
Total bills so far: $7962.89
Bills this week: $250 (Home Study Hague review fee); $890 (I800a application); 2338.75 (3rd installment to Lifeline); $35 (Prepare/Enrich marriage survey fee)
Ways God is working: We had $1035 left from our precious Grandma (who is now in Heaven) who loaned us money for Sammy's adoption that covered the I800a application fee to USCIS. I wasn't sure how God was going to provide the money for the 3rd installment to Lifeline. I told Phil that we would need $2335.75 and he remembered that he had take $2500 out of his salary at the beginning of the year to be tax free for health costs. We will get reimbursed that amount now once we submit the medical bills this week. Just the right amount to pay for our next adoption cost!!!!
1039.10 left from Grandma, 100 from donation, 2500 from health reimbursement = 3639.10
250 review, 890 USCIS, 2338.75 3rd installment, 35 marriage survey = 3513.75
difference: $125.35 leftover!
Our Home Study was finished by our home study agency and sent to review! We are one step closer to getting it to USCIS/immigration and then our dossier ready!!
Things learned: uh... that the paperwork this time is a million times easier and way less overwhelming!
Stuff we've done for the adoption this week: Sent the I800a to our agency with the $890 check for Homeland Security and fingerprinting; Bethany completed the marriage survey online; told a few more people about Jemma
What I am looking forward to: Getting our Home Study out of review and on it's way to USCIS! Hearing that we have pre-approval for Jemma... and announcing her coming adoption in time for THANKSGIVING! (Also, I'm really excited to celebrate Christmas this year... since we didn't decorate or actually celebrate Christmas much last year!)
Praying: That we can get pre-approval before Thanksgiving.
Pictures of the week:
I got to Face Time with my Grandpa this week. He's going to be moving to hospice soon.
This sunset really reminded us of Jemma - lots of "baby colors"...
Phoebe and I went to see musical Beauty and the Beast at a local high school.
Phoebe "gave her whole heart to God" and so we celebrated her "rebirthday"!
Mommy had date nights with each girl:
Lily and I watched God's Not Dead.

Daddy had a date night with Phoebe, too. They went to the MU game!
