How I'm feeling: Happy
Gender: GIRL!
Total bills so far: $11686.39
Bills this week: $2338.75 (3rd agency fee); $800 (dossier submission fee); $39 (certification and authentication); $65 (certification and authentication); $150 (certification and authentication); $325 (certification and authentication); $5.75 (send documents to Lifeline)
Ways God is working: There was a rainbow on the way to our fingerprint appointment! I had fallen asleep in the car on the way there and woke up with a start at the stroke of 8:00 when our appointment was scheduled. We were stuck in traffic and no where near the Department of Homeland Security's building. I HATE to be late. But as soon as I saw the 8:00, I looked up and saw a rainbow. I felt like God was talking directly to me! Be calm - it isn't a big deal - remember who is in control. It wasn't a big deal. When we got there, the people congratulated us and were very cheerful and pleasant. They really made my day! They didn't ask us to wait in line. The woman told us as soon as we were done filling out our paperwork to come right back and they'd take us back. We didn't even get a number like everyone else. :) I felt special.
God has put a fire in my heart lately. I've tried to resist this new project thinking that there was no possible way it would be coming from Him, but I've talked to Him and decided to pursue what is in my heart until He closes the door. I'll do my best and trust that God will do what He wants and what is good (2 Samuel 10:12b). :)
Things learned: That our file has not yet been assigned an officer and that USCIS is running at about 40-50 days (I was hoping for 30). We'll see - I'm hopeful for this week, and trusting God that His timing is totally perfect!
Stuff we've done for the adoption this week: fingerprints, dossier, checks sent, emailed questions to orphanage/asked for update, committed to a look for Jemma's nursery; made a custom adoption announcement for a family in our DTC group to raise money towards Jemma's adoption - SUPER FUN!
What I am looking forward to: DTC!
Praying: fast... as in speed... asking the Lord to bring Jemma home in His perfect timing - and if it is His Will - ASAP! :D
