Favorite moments: Sending out Sammy's announcement to all our family and friends!
Things learned: That adoption is hard. Emotional. And will bring us to our knees again and again.
What I am looking forward to: Any moment, we'll get the news that our home study and immigration paperwork are on their way to USCIS........ ANY MOMENT, right Lord? PLEASE HELP ME TO REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF THE TIMING OF EVERYTHING! Knowing that people are human and not everything goes perfectly is hard for me to reconcile with trusting in Your timing... how does that work, dear God? How will You help me to trust in Your timing, when I see mistakes happen? Actually, I don't need to know. Because really - it doesn't matter who here on earth makes "mistakes". You have cared for Sammy for over a year - ordained all of his days - and just because I know about him and know he's the son I've prayed for these last several months, doesn't mean you get to take a break. HA! How foolish I am, Lord. Please remind me when I falter, that You use human imperfection towards Your plan.
Oh and here's a great picture from a few weeks ago when I told my little sister about Sammy - :)
