Our Adoption: Week 19

How Far Along: 19 weeks

How I'm feeling: excited, feeling like we're getting closer, like there's a light at the end of the tunnel
Gender: little guy

Favorite moments: We got the approval in the mail but it was incorrect.  It said that they approved Gary Philip to adopt and not Philip Gary.  BUMMER!  So our social worker got in touch with our officer and within a couple of days, he sent an electronic version so she could get our dossier out the door and into the certification and authentication phase.  We are thrilled to be clipping right along.  Soon, we will be "DTC" - Dossier To China!  That is a day to celebrate!!!  The t-shirts for the pancake breakfast fundraiser arrived - love them!!!  They are perfect for the event!  Got a call from the guy getting us the sausages and he made a change to our order - PRE-COOKED!!!  This saved us TONS of stress and time!!!  Phil told his coworkers about the adoption and the breakfast.  Some people are coming to the breakfast they said!  

Things learned:  More about putting on an event for 1000 people.... also, that God cares about the details (not a new thing I learned, but definitely a great reminder!)... and I am hoping to learn that a 30 cup coffee maker can effectively warm and dispense syrup - but I won't find that out for a few more hours when I test my idea - hee hee!
What I am looking forward to: The Pancake Breakfast, DTC, Playing outside with the kids in some warmer weather (???)

*20 weeks is a milestone in pregnancy - it's the half way point - usually when you find out the gender if you do (and we always have as a reward to me for getting through the first 20 weeks).  I wonder if 20 weeks is the half way point for this adoption - wouldn't that be incredible?!  It'll be fun to see!!!
