We have our itinerary for Beijing!
We'll land on Tuesday and go to our hotel (I opted for Holiday Inn Express... I hope Phil won't be mad at me!) where we'll get settled, have supper, and CRASH!
Wednesday, we are going to see The Great Wall of China and have a lunch at a local Chinese restaurant. We'll all nap in the van for a couple hours as we drive to The Peking Acrobat Show that afternoon. Dinner on our own and then more crashing probably.
Thursday, we are going to drive by Tien'anmen Square and tour Hutong area. We are also going to shop at Qianmen Street for sugar candy paintings and Tanghulu. After a pedi-cab ride, we're going to have lunch with local family in the Hutong community, and then go to the Summer Palace for the afternoon. Dinner on our own.
Friday, we'll pack up and fly to Xi'an, Ian's Provincial capital where his adoption will take place. We'll take the rest of the day Friday and
Saturday to get settled and just hang out and prepare for Ian.
