Day 15: Folk Art Museum and other markets

We slept in this morning.  Jemma was up quite a bit during the night so we got up at 8:45, threw some clothes on the kids and went downstairs at 9am for the Lifeline picture and then took our sweet time to eat breakfast.  It was really nice!

After eating breakfast, we took time to enjoy the gardens at The Garden Hotel.  :)  We fed the Koi and had such a fun time together!  We had the kids help clean up the apartment.  Then I took the kids down to 1310 to play for a while and Phil cleaned our bedroom in the apartment and organized the souvenirs we got the day before.

He took Titus on a date to go pick up lunch (burgers and fries for him and the kids - I was still full from breakfast).  He brought me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers!  I was so surprised and felt very loved!

After he got back, we packed up and headed down to the bus going touring that day.  We skipped the morning zoo trip (we are taking the kids to the safari tomorrow) and just did the Folk Art Museum and Market today.

Not much to blog about really - we got Ian's chop made so we have his name stamp.  I also got a Chinese flute lesson and Phil bought me a flute.  We didn't get to see the artist who paints with his hand because he was on a break while we were there.

We went to the jade/pearl market and the girls were blown away that the entire place was all jewels.   Ian bought himself a wooden bead necklace while Phil was getting the girls jade necklaces.  I'm pleased he's finding special things that he likes to spend his money on.  I got my sixth pearl for my bird's nest necklace that I'm having made and then we headed back to meet our group by the embroidery shop.  I picked up a new coin purse that has a bell on it (which is so nice because I can always hear where in my purse it is) and a table runner to put on the table for Chinese New Year.

The kids went back and forth between rooms again over the evening and then I bathed the boys and we had Chinese cup-o-noodles for dinner and then early bedtimes because we knew the next day would be long.  We let Ian play on the iPad until 8pm because he's older and it's nice for him to be able to have the iPad for a little while in the evenings while we're putting everyone else to bed and winding down.

And I'm still on cloud nine that my husband brought me flowers.  I can't believe God's given us 6 children!  God has truly blessed me!
