So for our very first TUESDAY TIMELINE: Waiting for 800a approval; more specifically - waiting for our 800a application receipt and a fingerprint appointment.
We are 1 week in our wait for our 800a approval. We sent our 800a application (for immigration approval) and our homestudy to USCIS last Tuesday. We expect to have to wait a total of 2 weeks (half way there!) to get a receipt for our application in the mail. Then it should be 2 more weeks after that and we will be assigned an officer and get a fingerprint appointment card in the mail. Normally, we would then wait until that appointment, get our fingerprints, and then wait for the fingerprints to be approved (making the entire 800a application process 2-3 months), but we are going to try and see if our state will allow for fingerprint "walk-ins" so that we can speed up that 3rd part of the 800a process.
