Saturday was Jemma's medical appointment and also our first breakfast buffet at The Garden in Guangzhou. Jemma's face sums up our feelings of being at the Garden and eating the breakfast buffet!
Jemma was fed in her bed. More then one child was fed at a time and so when we feed Jemma, this is what she does to get the food into her mouth (breaks my heart). She doesn't know how to close her mouth of a spoon or fork - only how to let us dump the food into her waiting mouth.
She's our little birdie!
Our favorite beverage plastered on this city bus -
This is like a dream floor washer - I kind of wanted to take it and use it for a few minutes - looked so fun! He had tons of suds all over the floors and then flipped this puppy on and just sucked it right up and the marble floors shined.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! (We kept running to all the Christmas signs and pushing the 3-d Santas and laughing!)
Body check
Pretty princess crown (otherwise known as head circumference)
Tired after a busy morning - look how she's sucking her fingers
Grocery shopping at Aeon - MY KIND OF GROCERY STORE!!!
Borrowed a stroller from The Garden front desk so that we could survive the heat without melting each other.
Finding a good place to sit -
Time to put her feet up - ADORABLE!
Tonight, I gave Jemma a bottle and she settled into my arms, unlike any other time. She slept while she drank but woke up after a little bit. She let me hold her while she finished her bottle and then I burped her and rubbed her back and sang Oh how I love Jesus. Then I stood up and walked over to her crib. I felt her body relax, like a deep peace settled... I'm not exaggerating or making this up or dreaming... this REALLY happened. I felt it in her body against mine. I questioned whether I was dreaming, so I took a breath and turned to lay her in her crib. She didn't fuss, cry, arch her back... So I continued gently. I told her Mama loves you Jemma. And I laid her down on her ducky pillow and blanket and she snuggled in like we was about to have a good sleep knowing something she hadn't known before. I held my breath in disbelief. I turned and walked into the bathroom and still not even a whimper. This precious baby seems to have her first understanding of a Mommy!
